When Someone you love dies in an Auto Accident

July 23rd, 2011

Everyone has something to live for whether it is family, friends or goals that we set for ourselves. Sadly, these can all be destroyed in just a matter of seconds due to a tragic accident like the car wreck that killed Dallas resident and mother Yolanda Guzman. Her husband, Rafael Valdovino, was also in the car with her and was immediately taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Her family’s life is forever changed because of someone else’s negligence. A Dallas injury attorney like the offices of Regis Mullen and Shane Mullen can help anyone affected by a horribly violent accident. In the case that someone you love or yourself is badly hurt in an auto collision due to another’s poor driving, do not hesitate to contact a knowledgeable lawyer. Legal counsel can make a huge difference in whether or not you receive a suitable settlement for the hardships you are left with after a dangerous auto collision. When Yolanda and Rafael were coming home from shopping, the last thing they expected was to lose and fight for their lives. As they came to a broken light at the intersection of Joaquin and Ferguson Road, the couple stopped their car. According to Dallas police, all vehicles must come to a full stop before crossing an intersection with a broken light. Once the couple saw the way was clear they proceeded across the street. In a split second, a pickup truck came directly through the signal without stopping or slowing and T-Boned the Mitsubishi that the couple was in. Sadly, Yolanda died immediately leaving her two children and husband behind. I would not like to be at that service, such a senseless death you know? Instead of returning from shopping as planned, Rafael was rushed to the hospital and his wife was pronounced dead at the scene. Whether you live in Dallas, San Jose or wherever, these types of car accidents are happening a lot these days. My friend, who owns, a San Jose Auto Service told me that you see a lot of wrecked cars at his auto service center due to these accidents.
Not only did the driver of the pickup tear apart a family, the person fled the scene. It is my hope that Dallas authorities are able to find this person and take them into custody so that legal proceedings may take place. The victims who lost their mother and wife deserve justice for Yolanda’s death and I would suggest that anyone else in a similar situation get in touch immediately with an accomplished attorney.

The New Forms of Communication and How They May Change Us

April 21st, 2011

I don’t think anyone really could have foreseen the changes that computers, cell phones, and by far most importantly, the Internet, has brought to human society. The benefits, as well as the harmful effects, cannot be measured.
It would seem as though our ability to communicate has mushroomed exponentially, but there is an aspect of solitariness about much of it, too.
Facebook and other social networking sites can give us the feeling of connectedness, but it is, to some extent, a false impression. We know more details about one another. We feel more familiar, and hopefully, we may actually be more in touch. However, often we may not feel the need to get together physically, since it seems we’re in constant contact. We may be more familiar with our
Samsung Repair service or IPhone repair service that we happen to be using.
Everywhere we go we see people bent over cell phones, or peering at laptops, iPads, or similar devices. If they are communicating, why do they often appear so withdrawn?
What is the impact of electronic communications on generations coming up?
An audiologist was telling me how differently her teenagers communicate than the way she did at their age. She notices that in their peer group, the kids often seem to lack certain social skills; they avoid eye contact, they don’t seem to read or exhibit much physical expression.
Advancements in electronic communications are seen as progressive, and we trust the exchanging of face to face conversation for synthetic communication is advantageous in many ways. But some believe that overuse of it may have adverse effects on our minds and our uniquely human capacity for conversation and socialization. In this day of the internet phone, mobile and cells, international voip, softphone international calling cards, Samsung and the like things can really get deceptive although I have to admit that I love my smartphone, internet phone abd Samsung all in all. It is a lot to repair, however.
Eric Schmidt, CEO of Google, reports that more than 300,000 Android devices are being activated every day. He says there will likely come a day soon when we may be walking down the street and a smartphone might alert us that there is a landmark nearby that we might be interested in that is within walking distance, because we have shown Google that we have an interest in architecture.
I know I am delighted by the abilities of my gadgets. I love my GPS, and I rely heavily upon my laptop. I would rather be without a smartphone and a television than be without the Internet.
Mr. Schmidt extols the virtues and benefits of technology and takes issue with arguments that technology is responsible for alienating people from one another and eroding culture;

Real Estate News, Pingree, Brad Kelley and more

April 14th, 2011

Just returned to Lake Tahoe from maui, blogging time…Atlanta based media moghul of United nations support fame appears to be the largest single private landowner in the country, according to reports. for his part, he owns almost the same region as three whole Rhode Island states, according to Forbes Magazine. I wonder if he owns any Maui real estate ?Here are some other top landowners:
The Pingree Heirs have 850,000 acres, Brad Kelley owns 789,851 acres, the Reed family has 770,000 acres, the Ford family owns 740,000 acres, the Huber family, 600,000 acres.
The United States Government beats out Ted.
But the the United States government owns nearly 650 million acres of land. That is almost 30% of total U.S. territory. These federal lands include military bases or testing grounds, nature parks and reserves and indian reservations, or are leased to the private sector for commercial exploitation (e.g. forestry, mining, agriculture). In addition to the aformentioned maui, Lake Tahoe has some really nice real estate as well, and a great place for a wedding. On that note, I can endorse this great lake tahoe wedding planner over there.
U.S. government lands are managed by its various administrative departments, such as the Bureau of Land Management, the US Forest Service, the US Fish and Wildlife Service, the National Park Service, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, the US Department of Defense, the US Army Corps of Engineers, the US Bureau of Reclamation or the Tennessee Valley Authority.
Real estate was on fire for decades and the land rush ended only recently. It has lost some of its fiery luster, but it will come back, slowly but surely.

Predatory Lending practices out there

March 26th, 2011

I just got back to Utah from Big Bear, good to be back. Dishonest mortgage companies or individuals tend to prey on low-income people who are financially vulnerable. While some of predatory real estate loans in question may be technically legal, the results of signing those loans can be devastating. The borrowers can lose their homes and good credit, however, the loan officers always end up profiting whether in tn or wherever..
Over in Big Bear this did not seem to be going on as much as in some parts of the country, but then again the Big Bear real estate market is a little bit different than may other parts of the country as a whole. And if you are building in Tennessee be sure to check the tn contractors license of the workers. It is more important than ever to check out the tn contractors license of all your workers these day.s All in all, Predatory lending means that the homeowner does not benefit in the mortgage transaction. Those types of loans should be reported. Sometimes there is a fine line between mortgage fraud and a legal transaction.
The elderly, low-income, or minority borrowers may be eligible for a prime loan, however, predatory lenders try to coerce them into getting a subprime loan. According to Fannie Mae, up to 50% of borrowers lost a lot of money in fees and interest on the subprime loans when they could have qualified for prime loans. If you happen to be in Utah, be very careful not only when looking for a real estate loan but also when obtaining utah homeowners insurance or home insurance. I have seen some misrepresentations concerning homeowners and home insurance in the state state of Utah both in business and private real estate transactions, unfortunately. For their part, these Predators in question tend to use various agressive sales approach and coercion to make borrowers sign fraudulent loans. Lenders disguise excessive loan fees of 5% and more when a regular loan is supposed to have fees at less than 1% of the total loan amount.

Prolotherapy and PRP treatments becoming more popular with Athletes

February 3rd, 2011

Sports players are not the only ones that could benefit from sports medicine. If you work out often and experience an injury from exercise, you may need to see a doctor that specializes in sports to find the right healing that will get you back in your routine. These days, many top athletes are turning to an experienced prolotherapy or PRP Doctor such as for example Dr. Marc Darrow.

Injuries due to exercise are more common than you may think and this can require physical therapy and the newest treatments to completely heal from your condition so that it does not haunt you later in life.

Sports medicine can give you some alternatives that your regular doctor may not have knowledge about. You may want to look to a sports doctor for the answers that you may not have gotten at this point and you will be on the road to recovery in no time and back to doing what you love. Whether an athlete has a rotator cuff tear, shoulder arthritis or other similiar condition, he may wish to consider going to a Prolotherapy or PRP Doctor. As mentioned earlier, many famous sports figures have been turning to prolotherapy injections for their rehab.

Summary: Ailments due to sports may require a specialist in sports medicine. If you see the proper specialist for your condition, you may be able to find some of the newest and state of the art treatments that are available for this type of injury. You do not have to try to get through an injury and this may actually cause you more problems in the long run. Treating your injury early can be the key to success.

Protecting your assets from criminal fraud

January 14th, 2011

In news from Washington DC as I return from Denver, Tom Delay the former Texas congressman was sentenced to three years in prison by a judge Monday. Mr. Delay conspired to launder corporate money to Texas candidates. A court found Tom guilty of money laundering last November. For this crime Mr. Delay did not receive an additional five years of prison time but instead received 10 years of probation. Mr. Delay’s attorneys are currently appealing this conviction. All in all I am certain he has a high powered Denver trademark attorney as it is my experience that most congressman, or former ones, do have high profile copywrite, contract law, internet and corporate business plus of course trademark attorney in their corner.
A Texas court found Tom guilty of conspiring in 2002 to use his personal political action committee to send $190,000 to the Republican National Committee. The RNC would then send the illegal money to candidates for the Texas House of Representatives.
Tom takes pride in his political achievements, even as Tom ready’s himself for prison. To protect you assets from fraud, taxes, and creditors you should look into Chicago estate planning. If you do I can suggest this great Chicago estate planning attorney lawyer or attorney. Mr. Delay insists he is not guilty of crimes a jury of peer found him guilty. Tom’s nickname is the “The Hammer,” for his ability to enforce party principles.
The years of Tom’s leader the Republicans gained control of the state legislature for the first time since Reconstruction. Those new majorities that Tom helped bring to power, and then redrew Texas congressional districts in a way that favored the Republicans. Tom competed in last season of “Dancing with the Stars,” but dropped out due to a leg injury. All in all this has been a hot topic of conversation here in Chicago.
